ZSL WEEK 30 ROARS INTO LIFE

After the announcement this afternoon that several weeks of the ZSL will be shifted to before the October 15th deadline we will now see clubs take the pitch as the race for the TOP 4 heats up while the battle to avoid relegation continues as this weekend will see three matches live on SUPERSPORT.

Saturday
25/08/18

KABWE WARRIORS Vs ZESCO UNITED, 15:00(GUC Stadium-Live on SuperSport)

The two teams played out a 1-1 draw in Ndola in the first leg in a match that saw Warriors Zimbabwean striker Nelson Maziwisa score a late goal to rescue a point for Warriors but this was a point when the Kabwe Giants were seriously pushing for a top 4 place and not the teams current situation where they have gone 5 matches without a win.

Zesco United have got the upper hand as they last lost to Warriors in 2014 and with an attack that has the likes of Lazarus Kambole and Jesse Were one can expect them to get another win.

A match to watch and much pressure on Lazarus Kambole to continue his goalscoring exploits

NCHANGA RANGERS Vs POWER DYNAMOS, 15:00 (Nchanga Stadium)

Power Dynamos are under some pressure with an injury crisis that has ruled out several key players and the club has lost its last two matches the upcoming match against Rangers now becomes crucial with Power four points out of the top 4.

Rangers have problems of their own with the team having only managed to win one match out of the last 7 which means that a loss to Power could put Rangers 10 points away from safety.

A match where Power are favourites.

NAPSA STARS Vs ZANACO, 15:00(Edwin Imboela Stadium)

Zanaco seems to have turned things around as they have now won two matches in a row and are just two points outside of the top 4.

The Bankers will, however, come up against a Napsa side who are 7 matches unbeaten despite being in the relegation zone and The Pensioners created history by beating Zanaco for the first time this year and this will definitely be a match to follow to see if they can do the double over Zanaco.

KITWE UNITED Vs BUILDCON FC. 15:00 (Garden Park Stadium)

The Chingalika Boys welcome the moneybags of Zambian football in a match that could define Buildcons season as they are just 6 points out of the top 4.

Buildcon made some history for themselves over the past weekend by winning four matches in a row which the club had never done in the ZSL since they got promoted in 2017 and they will now look to make it 5 wins in a row but they face a Kitwe United side who are very inconsistent and unpredictable.

Buildcon haven’t conceded in the last 4 matches and won’t want to and this game should be theirs but you just never know which Kitwe United side will turn up tomorrow.

NEW MONZE SWALLOWS Vs LUMWANA RADIANTS, 15:00
(Lwengu Sports Complex)

The team which is almost gone vs the team which desperately wants to survive relegation.

A loss for Swallows will leave them with little room to survive as Radiants who are above the relegation zone will put 18 points between Swallows and safety is Radiants win.

A match no one wants to lose.

RED ARROWS VS LUSAKA DYNAMOS, 15:00
(Nkoloma Stadium)

Things at Lusaka Dynamos seem to be getting back to normal as the club has won its last two matches and face an Arrows side that hasn’t lost any of their last 4 matches since Chisi Mbewe took charge and haven’t conceded a goal either.

Lusaka Dynamos are not far off from a top 4 place and a win could give them some hope but the team have to face an Arrows side who have beaten them over their last two meetings.

A difficult match to predict.

NKWAZI Vs GREEN EAGLES, 15:00
(Edwin Imbolea Stadium-Live on SuperSport)

Nkwazi welcome a Green Eagles side who are 11 games unbeaten and being in a third place they will want to extend it to 12 matches.

Nkwazi has been inconsistent and will be without their coach Chris Kaunda who will be serving out the last of his four-match suspension but Eagles must be careful against a team who they last beat in 2011.

On paper its Eagles to win but on the Pitch, Nkwazi has always proven to be too good for Eagles in most matches.

GREEN BUFFALOS Vs NKANA, 15:00
(Edwin Imboela Stadium, LIVE ON SUPERSPORT)

Freekicks, overhead kicks, red cards, late goals and just pure drama is what we have come to expect of this matchup which has rarely disappointed when the two teams have met.

Nkana is 9 matches unbeaten and has scored in every single of those 9 matches so they enter this match on a high but face a Buffalos side who are second on the table and have always been a tricky opponent for Nkana.

Buffalos have won their last 6 matches against Nkana and Aba Red have to look to 2015 when they last got a win against Buffalos in the ZSL so this match is not one to watch for the faint Hearted.

Nkana needs a win to keep inside of the TOP 4 while Buffalos are chasing the hopes that they could win their first title since 1981.

An unpredictable match with only one match out of their last 18 match ups being goalless and that was in 2008 so this is one that will definitely entertain.
