Adebayo Waheed on the score sheet as the third edition of AMAPRO kicks off in Ilorin
The third edition of AMAPRO began today in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State. A tournament which was organized to bridge the gap between the amateur and professional footballers as well as prepare players ahead of new football season.
In the opening day clash, Issac James scored the only goal to give the Amateur all-stars, the maximum points as they defeated Pro-leaguers.
The match between Non-leaguers and Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (Ysfon) U18 ended in a goalless draw.
Meanwhile, the big one of the day was between The NPFL All-stars and the NNL all-stars. They showed they were the big boys as it was an exciting and entertaining match.
Bashir Bolaji of Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC nets the opener in the 39th minute as they went close to defeating the NPFL All stars only for Rivers United forward, Adebayo Waheed to restore parity in the 90th minute.
The day two of the tournament would see Non-leaugers take on Pro-leaguers, Amateur all-stars battle NNL All stars and Ysfon U18 against the NPFL all stars.
