Super Eagles now third in Africa in latest FIFA ranking have scooped that the Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up four places in the latest FIFA World ranking released on Thursday, October 25.

The three-time African Champions are now ranked 44th in the world having amassed a 1431 points total.

Meanwhile, the Eagles have moved up one place to 3rd position in Africa.

Africa’s top five are Tunisia, Senegal, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Morocco, though only the Eagles of Carthage – up to 22nd – and the Super Eagles – up to 44th – made an upward move from those nations.

Bafana’s next game, against Nigeria, offers a big opportunity for the side to not only take control of their group once again but also make a leap in the rankings, especially given the position of their upcoming opponents.
