Chinedu Udechukwu nears Enyimba deal
Felele247.com.ng understand that Katsina United Chinedu Udechukwu is closing in on reaching an agreement to join Enyimba. The striker, who has been without a club since March, is set to sign a one-year contract with the Aba club.
In March, Slovenian side NK Olimpija Ljubljan announced they had signed Udechukwu from Katsina United on a one-year loan deal, but it was later reported the contract crashed after the forward failed a medical.
Sources have revealed that the striker is training with the seven-time Nigeria league champions, and looks set to sign for the club.
Enyimba FC is on the hunt for new recruits as they look to freshen up the squad head coach Usman Abd’Allah inherited from Paul Aigbogun.
The Aba club has lost some of their top players to rivals in the last few weeks.
Captain Mfon Udoh has returned to Akwa United, Dare Ojo has reportedly joined champions Lobi Stars, Wasiu Alalade has returned to Abia Warriors after his loan deal came to an end, Uche John is on the brink of Enugu Rangers move, while Ifeanyi Anaemena is unsettled and could be leaving for Kano Pillars.
The Peoples Elephant are also reportedly close to signing Nasarawa United forward Thomas Zenke.
Zenke is seen as an ideal replacement for Mfon Udoh.
