Jigawa Golden Stars FC travel to the ancient city of Kano Thursday morning for the Ahlan Cup 2019 preseason tournament which kick-off Sunday 6th October 2019, as they intensify their preparation for the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
The preseason tournament will feature some Nigeria Professional Football League heavyweights as they prepare for the 2019/2020 season.
Club’s Team manager Issa Dodo Isyaku disclosed to JigawaGS Digital Media that the giant killers will be in Kano for the preseason tournament will kick off next weekend.
“The team will be in Kano for the preseason tournament for us to put our boxes on shape for the new season”.
“It’s a chance for us to check and learn some new approach to the game and we hope to put up a good show”, he disclosed.
Also speaking to the club JigawaGS Digital Media, Club coach Abubakar Rabiu Tata hinted that the team will have a good outing during the tournament” This is the second major tournament after we won the promotion ticket to the Nigeria Professional Football League last season”
“It going to be an opportunity for us and the team to study other teams that will feature in the tournament, because we will meet them as the league commences”
The ‘giant killers’ are currently in a close camp in Duste to prepare for the new Nigeria Professional Football League, they will travel this Saturday to Kano for the tournament.
The 2019 Ahlan Cup will feature some notable Nigeria Professional Football League clubs like Kano Pillars, Katsina United.
