The vice chairman of Lobi stars football club of Makurdi, Sir Mike Idoko said that the management and good people of the Benue state cannot wait for the league to start.
Idoko who is regarded as of the best club manager in the history of our football league stressed that his team is ready for the new football season to start because his club remains a title contender and not pretender.
” former league champions will aspire to earn a continental ticket once the league kick start later this month and is set to go back to her shining days”
Lobi Stars won the league two seasons ago after LMC and NPFL Club Owners agreed to end the league abruptly at matchday 24.
Speaking at the ongoing Ahlan preseason football tournament in Kano, Idoko declared that Lobi stars would be looking to go a step further this forthcoming season to reclaim the league title.
Lobi stars unfortunately did not make it past the group stage in the Ahlan Cup as the club decided to use the tournament to screen and assess new players aspiring to be part of the team.
