Felele247.com.ng have scooped that former Niger Tornadoes assistant and goalkeeper trainer Ndanusa “Atuga” Abubakar has been appointed as the Nigeria U17 female national football team (the flamingos) goalkeeper coach.
Atuga has his fondly called by his teammates started his professional football career with Niger Tornadoes before securing a move to Julius Berger Football Club where he won FA Cup ( Aiteo Cup 1996. In 2000, Atuga was part of the team that won Nigeria Professional League with Julius Berger.
He joined Heartland FC in 2004, before returning back to Julius Berger.
He was part of the team that led Niger Tornadoes to their 2017 Aiteo Cup final against Akwa United, where the Ikon Allah boys lost via penalty.
