The management, players and the entire staff of Kwara United have sympathized with Lobi Stars over the tragic fire incident which razed down their vehicle.
Football fraternities in Nigeria were thrown into deep shock after video and pictures of the burning vehicle appeared on social media on Monday night.
Lobi Stars were on their way back to Markudi from Ilorin where they picked three points against Kwara United before the sad incident happened.
Kwara United in an official statement gave thanks to God that no life was lost in the tragic occurrence that happened.
The statement also wished Lobi Stars well in all their remaining games this season in the NPFL.
“We thank God that no one died in the incident and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone at Lobi Stars as we pray for speedy recovery for all injured members of the traveling team,” the statement from Kwara United explained.
Meanwhile, Lobi Stars are currently occupying third position on the NPFL log with 39 points and are just one behind leaders Plateau United.
