Egyptian giant Zamalek SC have concluded negotiations with the Mozambican international Ary Papel and his representatives and representatives and Primeiro de Agosto ahead of his transfer to join the white knight.
The former Sporting Lisbon player will sign a three-year contract with the White Knights in a deal worth US$ 2.2 million according to sources.
Zamalek are in need of an onfensive winger in the summer transfer window as they look to strengthen their team ahead of the Egyptian league resumption.
“Ary [Papel] has been a free agent since last month,” the club had fruitful discussions with his current and his representative over his possible transfer”
“The coronavirus has definitely affected the transfer to Zamalek but they are the only club my player wants to represent.
“We haven’t signed a deal yet with Zamalek. Ary didn’t undergo the medical tests yet and we still have to go over there and sign the contract but coronavirus is stopping us from finalizing the transfer.
“If things go well, then Ary [Papel] will be a Zamalek player soon,” he added.
The White Knights are currently fourth in the Egyptian Premier League table with 31 points after 16 games played this season.
