Ceramica Cleopatra FC have claimed a place in the Egyptian Premier League for the first time in their history following a draw with Gomhoreyet Shebeen.
The club which was founded in 2006 became the third and final club to win promotion to the Premier League after Bank Al Ahly and Ghazal El-Mahalla.
The Giza featured former Gombe United and El-Kanemi Warriors forward Sani Abbani, They needed just a draw in their final league of the season to earn the promotion in their just only fourth season in the second division.
Ceramica Cleopatra FC, led by Haitham Shabaan, managed to finish top of their group just two points ahead of El-Dakhelya, who came second, with Petrojet FC finishing third.
The three relegated sides from the Premier League have been confirmed on Monday after Zamalek’s win over Haras El-Hoddod sent them to the second division alongside FC Masr and Tanta.
