Ahmed Musa ends stay with Saudi club

Nigerian International International Ahmed Musa has ended his stay with the Saudi based club Al-Nassr, Felele247.com.ng can confirm.

In a post on Twitter the Najd’s Knights  confirmed the Nigerian’s exit while wishing him the very best.

The 28-year-old and former Kano Pillars and JUTH FC joined the oil-rich country outfit from English premier league side Leicester City in 2017 where he made 58 appearances, he scored 11 goals and got 14 assists while helping the team win the 2018-19 Saudi topflight diadem and the 2019 Saudi Super Cup. He just recently surpassed John Obi Mikel as the third most-capped Super Eagles player has featured in the international friendlies against Algeria and Tunisia, and in the process got his 93rd Nigeria cap.

Many pundits already believe that Musa has signed with his new team and that an announcement will be made shortly. It will be interesting to see where he goes but regardless of where he ends up, the defenders there better sit up straight.

The Super Eagle is now a free agent and is reported to have parted ways with the club mutually as he hopes to continue with his professional career in Europe.
