Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser/Chief Coach Gernot Rohr has said that his team is faced with crazy program from March next year till year 2022.
The Eagles’gaffer who has been around since last month but returned to his base in France on Sunday, disclosed to SPORTINGLIFE that he and his team are preparing for a hectic training and preparation programs and they are quite ready for such hectic times.
“For a long time football was stopped because of Coronavirus pandemic but now the program is quite loaded because the European Leagues are in full blast with clubs playing every three days most especially during this festive period and end of the year and we know that our players are also fully involved in their respective clubs.
“For the Eagles we are faced with loaded programs. We will start camping for our AFCON qualifier against Benin Republic holding in Cotonou on March 22, 2021.
“With the Benin Republic match we have four very important qualification games which included AFCON 2022 and 2022 World Cup qualifiers. We hope to qualify for both important tournaments. We surely have a crazy year 2022”, Rohr disclosed.
He also disclosed that he would be sending fitness trainer to the recuperating Eagles stars in Europe to help work on their fitness level of these important stars.
“Early next year we will be sending a fitness trainer to help in working on the fitness of our recuperating players so that all our players would be in good shape and required level for all our matches next year”.
Rohr concluded by revealing that he has also assigned his assistant coaches to monitor all the recuperating Eagles stars in Europe.
“Some of our coaches would be monitoring our recuperating players who are now backed from injuries like Victor Osimhen, Joe Aribo, Francis Uzoho and others”, the Eagles Manager also disclosed.
