LMC suspend four stadiums

The League Management Company has ordered it that four Nigeria Professional Football League outfits to search for alternative stadiums to play their next home games. Felele247.com.ng can report.

Felele247.com.ng gathered that the affected NPFL clubs are Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia, Yobe Desert Stars and Niger Tornadoes Football Club, this is due to bad pitch surface of the affected the stadiums.

The letter reads:

ABIA WARRIORS (UMUAHIA TOWNSHIP STADIUM)

Umuahia Township Stadium has been suspended from hosting #NPFL18 games for two weeks following reports by match officials that the pitch is not in good condition.

Abia Warriors have been advised to work on the Umuahia Township Stadium pitch & not hold any activity there for the period of suspension.

Abia Warriors have also been told to nominate an alternative venue for their #NPFL18 home games with effect from Matchday 10 .

A team of inspectors will visit the Umuahia Township Stadium upon completion of work on its pitch to assess if it can play host to #NPFL18 games.

YOBE DESERT STARS (27 AUGUST STADIUM, DAMATURU)

The 27th of August Stadium, Damaturu is also suspended for two weeks following reports by match officials that the pitch is not in good condition for #NPFL18 games.

The two-week suspension of the 27th of August Stadium is to allow Yobe Stars carry out work on the playing surface of the facility #NPFL18.

Yobe Stars have been advised that no activity should take place on the facility during the period of suspension.

Yobe Stars have also been advised to nominate an alternative venue for their #NPFL18 home games with effect from Matchday 10.

A team of inspectors will visit the 27th of August Stadium after completion of work on the facility to make sure it can host #NPFL18 games.

NIGER TORNADOES (CONFLUENCE STADIUM, LOKOJA)

Confluence Stadium, Lokoja has also been suspended for two weeks for poor condition of playing pitch #NPFL18

Niger Tornadoes will have to pick an alternative home venue while work is carried on the facility #NPFL18

While Tornadoes will start playing their home games at an alternative venue from Matchday 10, it is advised no activity should hold at the Confluence Stadium for the two-week period #NPFL18

Confluence Stadium will be inspected once work is done on it to be sure it can play host to #NPFL18 games once again

HEARTLAND FC (DAN ANYIAM STADIUM, OWERRI)

Heartland will play their #NPFL18 home games with effect from Matchday 10 in an alternative venue following the suspension of the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.

Dan Anyiam Stadium is suspended for two weeks for poor playing pitch. Heartland will have to work on the pitch & hold no activity on the facility for the period #NPFL18

Heartland's Dan Anyiam Stadium will be inspected after work is completed to ascertain if it can host #NPFL18 games once again

 

The League Management Company advised the affected clubs to look for new alternative stadiums for their Nigeria Professional Football League ahead of their matchday 10 league games
