Austin Igenepo turned down Kano Pillars move

Niger Tornadoes fullback Austin Igenepo has reportedly turned a move to join former Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Kano, Pillars, Felele247 Media can report.

Igenepo who signed for the ikon Allah boys at the beginning of the 2017/18 season expresses his desire to stay put in Minna due to what he called guaranteed playing time after he had discussions with the management of the club led by Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha Gawu and a pay rise.

"I had discussions with the management, notifying of interest from kano pillars and they gave me assurance that all the conditions I penned down will be executed.

"Also my decisions to stay put here in Minna is the support and admiration I use to get from the fans, management crew and above my teammates", He enthused.

"I have no reason to leave this club now, maybe at the end of the current I will decide".

Austin Igenepo joined Niger Tornadoes from Remo Stars of Shagamu at the beginning of the current.

Niger Tornadoes will be at home to host new member of the Nigeria Professional Football League Yobe Desert Stars Football Club of Damaturu in a matchday 18 encounter.
