Aiteo Cup champions Kano Pillars is set to resume training from a five-day break after the former Nigeria Professional Football League champions suffered a defeat against Asante Kotoko in the CAF Champions League preliminary round in Asante last weekend as they kick off their preseason games.
Part of the preseason games will see the Sai Masu Gida host the Nigeria Under23 team for a warm match at the home ground Sani Abacha Stadium Kofar Mata, Kano.
“We need to restored back the confidence of the players and the friendly will also be a plus for us as we are gearing nearer to the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League Season, Alhaji Surajo said.
Club Chairman, Alhaji Suraj Jambul disclosed this in Kano, ”We are putting this warm-up matches in place for the team to be lads to be in their best form”
“We did learn a lot from the defeat in Ghana in the hand Asante Kotoko, so we have to put them into practice ahead of the new NPFL season”, he concluded.
