Heartland FC of Owerri has secured the service of former Kwara United and Niger Tornadoes central defender Mohammed “Ekpoma” Hussain ahead of the 2019/20 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Ekpoma joined the Naze Millionaire after joining his hometown club (Niger Tornadoes) on loan from Kwara United in the 2017/19 mid-season transfer window.
He had spell at Katsina United before teaming up the harmony boys during offseason.
He disclosed to Felele247.com after putting pen to paper that it’s a wonderful feeling to be here in Owerri, I have spent some couple days and I’m enjoying every moment of it”

Heartland will lock horn with MFM FC of Lagos in the matchday 01 of the 2019/20 Nigeria Professional Football League season on the 3rd of November 2019 at the club temporary home ground Okigwe township stadium.
