Jigawa Golden Stars forward Lala Mohammed has hinted that the team missed some chances in the first half of their first Nigeria Professional Football League against Wikki Tourists in Gombe last week.
The forward found the back of the net in the 40th minute of the encounter to record the giant Killers first premier league in twelve years after returning to the Nigeria elite league.
“It was a wonderful game, we should’ve buried the game in the first half, but due to some mistakes made, we couldn’t bury the game”
“We are going to the drawing board to perfect our plan ahead of our home game against former champions Plateau United”
Wikki Tourist came smoking in the second half to beat the Dutse based 2-1, Siadu Abubakar find himself unmarked to smacked in a rebound clearance on the edge of the box passed the visitor’s goalkeeper Kenneth on the firing line in the 48th minutes of the second to level up the scoring
Late in the second half, Idris Guda scored, and it was a spectacular finish too. The forward simply hooked Mubarak Umar’s cross over his head to net the winner.
Jigawa Golden Stars will welcome Plateau United to their home ground for their first home game in the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
