The Kariakoo Derby is here.
Tanzanian giants and Dar es Salam arch-rivals Simba Sports Club and Yanga Sports Club renew their rivalry on Saturday at the National Stadium.
This will be in a Vodacom Premier League encounter that is expected to pull a capacity crowd as ever at the 60,000 seater.
Simba and Yanga both made screaming headlines in the transfer market as they both made big name signings on the continent and the two side will be relishing to have a go at each other.
Simba are however, a depleted side with stars Clatous Chama, Meddie Kagere, Chris Mugalu, Luis Miquissone and Gerson Fraga Viera all ruled out due to injuries.
Yanga will be looking to take advantage of the absences of Simba’s key players with new coach Cedric Kaze set to pounce on the defending champions with full-strength squad.
Simba are playing catch up as they sit third in title race with 19 points after 9 rounds of matches played while Yanga are a set ahead in second place with 23 points, two points behind log leaders Azam FC.
