Lubumbashi giants TP Mazembe have officially announced the arrival of teenage sensation, Jean Baleke Othos from Jeunesse Sportive de Kinshasa on a five-year contract.
The 19 year old is currently leading the DR Congo Ligue 1 top scoring chart with 9 goals in 14 matches this season.
An official statement posted on the Crocodile of Lubumbashi website “BALEKE OTHOS will join Lubumbashi. Everything is almost done, all that is missing is his signature at the bottom of the contract which will bind him very soon to the Ravens”.
Othos spent his years of training in the clubs of Mbandaka went to Standard de Lemba before shining with JSK in L1.
The Congolese international who will be 20 years old on April 17 is currently at CHAN with the local Leopards.
“With nine goals in fourteen L1 games this season, the striker will certainly meet the challenge with the Ravens where competition is tough at his post”.
During his last stay in Lubumbashi with the JSK, in an interview with the local press, BALEKE was already seeing further, while he was starting to shine in the country.
TP Mazembe sits on top of the DR Congo Linafoot Ligue 1 standings with 32 points from 14 games, followed by their rivals AS Vita with the same points but with a goal difference of 19 goals.
