Napsa Stars on Sunday afternoon battled their way to the group stage after rallying twice to finish 2-2 at home against Kenyan giants Gor Mahia in Lusaka.
The match was played at National Heroes Stadium which saw the Zambian club advance 3-2 on aggregate after winning the first leg 1-0 in Kenya.
The visitors were the better side on the pitch with Samuel Onyango giving Napsa defence a tough time throughout the Match.
And it was Samuel Onyango who broke the deadlock in the 17th minute when he slammed past Napsa defenders before slipping past goalkeeper Rabson Muchelengan’ga to make it 1-0.
Austin Banda equalised a minute later in the midst of pressure from a determined For Gor Mahia.
The visitors were back in the lead in the 20th minute through Cliffton Miheso Ayisi. However, Napsa refused to die and equalised in dramatic fashion deep into the four minutes of stoppage time through Experienced Striker Emmanuel Mayuka who scored the equaliser from the Spotkick to send the Pensioners into the Group stage of CAF Confederation Cup.
