AS Vita Coach Florent Ibenge has said that DR Congo teams are suffering and cant compete in Caf Competition anymore because they have no money to buy good players.
Ibenge also said that DR Congo teams now cant compete with Tanzanian Clubs in buying good players.
AS Vita at the beginning of the season lost two of thier best players who signed for Tanzanian Giants Yanga SC and they also lost star striker Jean Mark Makusu to Orlando Pirates.
Vita’s rivals TP Mazembe havent faired any better as they lost star striker Ben Malango to Moroccan Giants Raja Casablanca a few seasons ago followed by upcoming Jackson Muleka who signed for Belgian Giants Standard Liege.
Mazembe used to go to countries such as Zambia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe to get good players but they haven’t managed to buy a big player this past season.
It will be the first time that there will be no Congolese club in the knockout stage of Caf Competition since the 2011 season.
