Akwa United forward and Nigeria Professional Football League leading goal scorer Ndifreke Effiong has sealed a three and the half year move to the Libyan giants Al Ahly Benghazi, Felele247.com.ng understands.
The former Abia Warriors forward has scored 58 goals in all competitions will earn $540,000 USD during his stay with the Benghazi based club.
He has represented Nigeria at the 2015 African Games, 2015 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations and the 2016 Summer Olympics.
He made his debut for the Nigeria national football team on 26 March 2019 in a friendly against Egypt, as a 90th-minute substitute for Shehu Abdullahi.
He signed a professional football contract with Nigeria National League side Abia Comets before being snapped Abia Warriors in 2016, where he scored 40 goals in 92 appearances.
During the 20 Nigeria Professional Football League off season transfer window, he joined his hometown club Akwa United and scored 17 goals in 31 appearances.
