Italian International Destiny Udogie has joined Italian outfit Udinese on loan from Hellas Verona with an obligation to buy.
Udogie grew up in the Hellas Verona youth system, the left back made Serie A debut on 8 November 2020 in a away 2–2 draw against Milan.
Born in Italy, Udogie is of Nigerian descent and still eligible to play for Nigeria. He is a youth international for Italy, he made his debut for the Azurri in 2018/2019 Under 16,before being invited to the Italian U17 in 2018/2019. He is currently member of the Italian U18 team, before joining Udinese.
Last season, the youngster featured for Verona in the Primavera 2A division and helped his team finish fourth in the league standings, with 33 points from 18 games.
Verona never cease to amaze us and after holding league leaders Milan to a 2-2 draw, they also offered a glimpse into the future. Two hopefuls were given a run in the first team and Udogie is one of those players. Born in 2002, he is seen as a potential standard bearer of Italian football in future and has been already drafted into the Italian Under-19 setup.
