Confederation of African Football have ordered Tunisian giants Esperance du Tunis to play their next year’s CAF Champions League behind close doors, Felele247.com.ng understands.
Espearance who won the champions league back to back lost to defending champions Al-Ahly of Egypt in the semifinal of this year’s edition and the behaviour of their fans abnormally in the first played in Rades, Tunisia.
Tear gas were used on Al-Ahly players which led to the game being delayed for few hours, the Egyptian side ended up winning the match with a lone goal.
The football body on Friday announced that Espearance will play their next CAF inter-club competitions behind closed doors.
And apart from that they were slammed US$60,000 as fined for their untenable attitude.
