After it’s zero zero draw away to Mighty Jets of Jos last week, Wikki Tourists fc today played a one one draw with Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri on match day three of the Nigeria National League, nnl2023/24 Season in Bauchi.
Bello Usman of Elkanemi Warriors open scores for the visitors eight minutes into the sending the stadium into long silence.
Five minutes later John Taiwo rekindled the hope of supporters of Wikki Tourists when he equalized the goal from an assist by Owolabi Aremu to restore parity.
It was a tug of war as both teams bombarded each other for another goal but to no avail till end of first half.
On resumption into the second half the Wikki Tourists Technical Crew made another substitutions to strengthen the team but the visitors defence became water tight.
However several attempts were incurred by Wikki Tourists players on Elkanemi Warriors but did not yield the needed result as Elkanemi Warriors resorted to delay tactics suggesting that they were comfortable with the draw as the referee signalled the end of the game after the expiration of the six minutes added time.

Actually that was not what we planned for and having a draw at home is not good for our campaign but Insha Allah we are going to make necessary adjustment based on what we have seen today so that in our next away game to Yobe Desert we can get better result.
While attributing part of the problem that affected the performance of his boys to the harsh weather condition which he said did not favoured them because their games/trainings were always played by late evening however commended his boys for their enduarance and also thank the Supporters for their understanding and solicited for more as he said they will strive to make amend.
After playing three matches, Wikki Tourists now garnered 5points +6goals and 1GA.
The Bauchi giant Elephant will be travelling to Gashua for the next match against Yobe Desert Stars on Saturday 9/12/23,match day 4 of the Nigeria National League 23/24 season.
