Rivers United name Evans Ogenyi new head coach
Nigerian 🇳🇬 football coach Evans Ogenyi has successfully joined 2020/2021 Nigeria Champions Rivers United as the club new head coach after guiding Kano Pillars back to the Premier League, Felele247.com.ng understands.
The Makurdi born tactican was appointed by Warri Wolves in 2020 before joining Sai Masu Gida as the Technical Adviser on 2022.
He held the same position with Lobi Stars in Lobi Stars in 2019 season before agreeing to join Kano Pillars who guided back to the NPFL.
Speaking at the press conference, ” Evans said. “It’s an exciting time to become part of this great team and I’m looking forward to working with everyone more closely on and off the pitch.
“I love this club and it’s such a great feeling to be here.”
Rivers United will represent in next season CAF Confederation Cup alongside the FA Cup winners Bendel Insurance
