EPL: Nottingham Forest set to sign zambian midfielder

English Premier League side Nottingham Forest ‘have held talks’ over the signing of Red Star Belgrade midfielder Kings Kangwa, it is claimed.

The Zambian international scored in his country’s African Cup of Nations qualifying win over Ivory Coast last week. Kangwa, who previously had a spell in Russia, joined Red Star in 2022.

Kangwa scored 12 goals in 45 appearances for the Serbian side last season as he helped them to emphatically win the league title with 97 points, 22 more than their nearest challengers.

And Forest appear to be interested in acquiring Kangwa’s services for next season as they look to bolster their midfield options. Guardian journalist Ed Aarons claims that Steve Cooper’s side are in discussions to sign him.
