The former head coach of Nigeria’s national soccer team, the Super Eagles, who was two months into his job before resigning, has said the decision of the country’s football federation to appoint a foreign technical advisor was the dealbreaker. However, Finidi George, himself a former national player, has expressed confidence in the team’s ability to get back on track, despite having a difficult start in the World Cup’s qualifying campaign.
