FC Ifeanyi Ubah head coach resigns from the club

Head Coach of FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Uche Okagbue, has resigned from his position at the club,Felele347.com understands.

The ex-international tendered his letter of resignation to the management of the Nnewi based team on Tuesday afternoon.

Okagbue joined FC Ifeanyi Uba in April 2017 as an assistant to Ghanaian coach Preko and later assisted Ladan Bosso before he was made Head Coach 2019.

In his resignation letter, the former Remo Stars and defunct Anambra United gaffer stated;

“I wish to tender my letter of resignation from FCIU with immediate effect.

“I thank the entire management for the opportunity given to me to serve this great club, and I wish the team all the best.”

FC Ifeanyi Ubah relegated to the Nigeria football league second division for the first time since in four years after Senator Ifeanyi Ubah acquired Gabros International FC and renamed the club name to his name FC Ifeanyi Ubah.

On 6 November 2016, the club defeated Nasarawa United FC on penalties to clinch a historic Federation Cup at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos. Since the split of Anambra State in 1991, no football club from the State had ever won the trophy.
