AFCON: Venezia FC confirm Tyrone Ebuehi invitation
Italian Serie A side Venezia FC have confirmed the invitation of its defender Tyrone Ebuehi for the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon,
The skilful right-back was not listed in the 28 man team initially but hurriedly called up to replace injured Shehu Abdullahi.
Ebuehi who made the Russia 2018 World Cup under Gernot Rohr missed the last edition of AFCON in Egypt due to injury.
The club through its news outlet confirmed the invitation and also expressed its happiness over the call-up.
” Venezia defender Tyronne Ebuehi has been called up by the Nigeria national team to participate in the Africa Cup, which this year will take place in Cameroon.
“The participation of Ebuehi in the most important football competition that compares the African national teams registered in the CAF is a source of pride and satisfaction for the orange-green club and for Tyronne himself, who with the Nigerian national team already boasts 10 appearances and a participation in the 2018 World Cup,” the statement reads
