We were unlucky against Remo Stars – Dogo

WIkki Tourists FC Technical Adviser Kabiru Dogo has said that the 1-2 home loss his team suffered in the hands of Remo Stars on matchday 6 of the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League 2021/22 season was due to ill luck.

Dogo was reacting after the game where he said his boys played well but the day was not there’s.

My boys played good football with all that it takes to have a win but ill-luck became a barrier to victory.
We have one of the best teams in the league and sometimes it happens as that Dogo maintained.

While appealing for Patience and understanding from the teeming Supporters of the club for the disappointment, the wikki gaffer reiterated the need for more commitments and prayers from all.
He Commended the State government, Chairman and management of the club for their support and understanding.

The game today saw Wikki Tourists missing many scoring chances right from the blast of the whistle and seven minutes into the game Remo Stars registered their first goal in a solo effort.

WIkki Tourists fought back with all their hearts but could not get an equaliser ending the first half on 1-0 advantage Remo Stars.

On resumption into the second half both teams made changes in an effort to level or solidify the lead.

WIkki Tourists problem was compounded when in the 63′ Remo Stars scored their second goal.

Salisu Adamu’s 75′ consolation goal for Wikki Tourists revived the hope of the team and more pressure was mounted on the visitors which paid off in the 88′ when WIkki Tourists got a penalty but Saleh Ibrahim’s kick hit the wood work.

The game ended 1-2 as the Remo Stars maintain their lead on the table with 14points after 6games,while Wikki Tourists dropped to the 15position with 6points after 5games.

WIkki Tourists will be away to Dakkada fc for a mid week cracker on Wednesday 19/1/2022.
