Samuel Eto’o FECAFOOT set to launch social security for footballers

FECAFOOT President Samuel Eto’o Fils is set to launch a social security numbers initiative for all the country’s professional footballers both home and abroad, Felele247.com understands.

The president met with the country director of the project in Yaounde Tuesday to prepare a framework for the project.

The former Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Mallorca have proven that Cameroonian football is gradually getting its groove back in terms of innovations and the revamping of the domestic league.

Both the male and female domestic football leagues have experienced a lot of revamping since the coming of former international.

The Elite One League is sponsored by MTN Cameroon, the league champion will go home with a staggering 55,000,000 CFA ( N37,721,174.10) while Women Super League which is now called Guinness Super League after the beer acquired the name right of the league last year also recorded a massive boost with an increase in monthly grants for each clubs.

Also, FECAFOOT has initiated a salary structure for the league which takes immediate effect.
