Manu Garba lone goal seal the day for Wikki Tourists

The Fourteen minutes goal scored by Wikki Tourists Assistant Captain Manu Garba was enough to handle the team that much needed three points on match day 32 match number 318 of the 21/22 Nigeria Professional Football League against league toppers Rivers United.

Played yesterday 05/06/22 at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium Bauchi was watched by a capacity crowd including the Secretary to the State Government.

Manu Garba got his goal when he benefitted from a through pass by Victor Okoro and ran fast Duru on the outside left position to fire a thunderbolt shot that caught Rivers goalkeeper off guard hitting the cross bar before finally resting in the net.

Rivers United fought back aggressively but could not get their rhythm correctly as Wikki Tourists blocked every move they make.

The one goal lead took the teams back to the dressing room for the first half break.

Strategically upon resumption for the second half both teams made some Substitutions which only change the tempo of the game but without more goals till end of the game.

Our boys played out their hearts with the instructions that they should do all that’s humanly possible to finish the game early and they did it,we are grateful to God

The goals could have more if the chances we created were utilised,but non the less the three points are the much desirous.

We will plan well ahead our next match against Kano Pillars next weekend,and our game plan has always been to approach every game with same mentality to win and that’s what we are going to do.
