DC Motema Pembe appoint Romelu Lukaku’s father as new manager

Congo DR Kinshasa 🇨🇩 outfit DCP Motema Pembe has appointed the father of Belgian international and Chelsea FC forward Romelu Lukaku, Roger Lukaku as the new manager, Felele247.com understands.

The former Leopards playmaker is already in Kinshasa to restructure the great DCMP with his experience in the round leather game.

He holds a UEFA B as coach and co-manager of his sons Jordan and Romelu Lukaku between the period 2009 and 2018, the former leopard will help the Toupamaros to become a modern club, and to regain its place at the top of Congolese football.

DCP Motema Pembe last lift the Linafoot title in 2008 under the reigns of General Ondekane.

Established in 1936 under the name Falcon Daring, by the Rev. Father Raphaël de la Kethulle de Ryhove who was a missionary of the Congregation of Scheutistes. He recruited most of its players among college students Sainte-Anne in Kinshasa (currently Elikya college).

The DCMP was renamed CS Imana in 1949 before assuming the name of Daring Club Motema Pembe Imana (Imana DCMP) in 1985. With 27 titles at national level since 1963, the DCMP is currently the most successful national club of the DRC. TP Mazembe has more trophies if you include international titles won with 35.

Also, the new management under the leadership of Paul Kasembele the club is on a mission with the head office acquired for the club ahead of the new Linafoot season.
