Off the back of defeating Tenax FC on their backyard on Sunday, Bulawayo Chiefs will be looking forward to reproducing the stunning performance when they take on Dynamos FC in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at the giant National Sports Stadium.
Sunday afternoon’s fixture offers the Ninjas an opportunity to revive their title “Giant Slayers” when they battle it out against the Glamour Boys.
Both teams go into Sunday’s game with their tails up having recorded wins in their previous league fixtures. Dynamos outshined Chicken Inn by three goals to nil at Barbourfields Stadium on Saturday.
Head coach Nilton Terosso believes his lads can take the result against Tenax as a positive going into the game on Sunday.
“The two nil away to Tenax is positive. For us it is important because we were able to do what we spoke about in the last weeks which was about tying the points with the performance”, said Terosso.
And despite taking the result as a positive, the Portuguese coach is not losing his focus and approach as he knows the threat his opponents pose.
“I don’t read much into previous games going into new ones. I think it will be two teams that always want to win. Dymnamos are a difficult team. Very big club, ans one that is in the title race”, said Terosso.
It was not a good day in the office for the Ninjas earlier in March when Dynamos managed to capitalise on mistakes and beat them by 2 goals to nil in the first leg. Obriel Chirinda was sent off by the match official on that afternoon.
There is a ten point gap between the two sides. Bulawayo Chiefs currently occupy tenth position on log standings whilst one of the country’s football giants Dynamos occupy third position with thirty nine points.
Shifting to the future stars of tomorrow, the developmental side is set to lock horns with Njube Spurs. Agent Sawu’s led side will be gunning to continue with their fine form in the Southern Region Division after winning their opening three games.
Bulawayo Chiefs’ developmental side managed to comeback from behind to win against High Flyers at Chiefs Village on Sunday.
Agent Sawu feels very much confident going into the game on Sunday.
“So far so good. We have played three and won three. We are approaching our fourth game away from home. We are not going to change the approach or style of play”, said Sawu.
The Ninjas and the developmental side’s matches both kick off at 3pm
