Ortom inspect McCarthy stadium, appreciate the Management of Lobi Stars for the sacrifice

…Directs immediate budget proposal by the Management.

Gov Samuel Ortom, Earlier today, Monday, 31st October, 2022 inspects the level of work at McCarthy stadium, embarked by the Management of Lobi Stars.

Gov Ortom, was highly impressed with the leadership of the club, led by the Chairman Engr Benson Aboonu, and the VC/CEO Distinguished Dominic Iorfa, for their creative ideas which led to the radical transformation of the dilapidated facilities at the stadium.

The Governor made this statement while interacting with pressmen, shortly after inspecting the facilities put in place by the Management of the club to enable a conducive environment to enhance player’s productivity.

Gov. Ortom, was glad with what he met on ground, noting that, the synergy between the Chairman of the club and the VC/CEO, has brought creativity, value addition for high productivity that would go along way to arrest the excessive spending on hotels for players accommodation.

The Gov Noted that, despite meager resources and zero budget, he was proud with the prudent utilization of the little resources accrued to the Management.

Earlier in his opening speech infront of pressmen , the VC/CEO, Distinguished Dominic Iorfa, said that, what is on ground here is purely act of sacrifice that led to the birth of the projects.

When pressed further by pressman about the facilities on ground, Mr Iorfa, was glad to mention the followings ; 22 renovated apartments with well furnished beds, mattresses, wardrobes, a standard football pitch, a Canteen, a Mikano Generator XP 27P1 for power supply, a match accessing room with electronic gadgets, a notice board, motorize borehole among others, are functional for effective service delivery.
Mr Iorfa, thanked the Governor for the opportunity to serve under his administration, assured of more innovations.

Gov Ortom in his final speech directed the Management of Lobi Stars led by Chairman Engr Benson Aboonu, and the VC/CEO Dominic Iorfa to immediately put-up a budget proposal for the completion of the remaining projects which includes, offices, seat covers, a podium among others.

Highlights of the event were the inspection of facilities by Gov Ortom and his entourage as seen in the pictures.

Present at the event includes, the Deputy Governor Engr Benson Aboonu, who doubles as the Chairman of the club, the VC/CEO, Distinguished Dominic Iorfa, pressmen among others.

The Governor, shortly after the McCarthy inspection, paid a condolence visit to identify with the family of late Lord Possible Ediba, over the demise of the veteran journalist who was until his death, a Senior Special Assistance to the Governor on sports.
