FC Saint Eloi Lupopo chooses Ndola for CAF Matches
FC Saint-Éloi Lupopo 🇨🇩 will play their CAF Confederation Cup games in Ndola (Zambia 🇿🇲 after CAF inspectors rules that their home ground does not meet CAF Stadium standard
Apart from Saint Eloi Lupopo stadia in DR Congo 🇨🇩 (Martyrs, TP Mazembe Stadium, and Kibassa), among the 3 stadia mentioned only the TP Mazembe one was Approved.
St. fC Eloi Lupopo had indicated Martyrs and Kabassa as the first options, but as both stadiums were not approved, they decided to play in neighboring Zambia.
TP Mazembe’s president has said their stadium is open for other Congolese teams who intend to play there.
This news also means that the game between Vita Club and Petro de Luanda will not be played in Kinshasa.
Saint Eloi Lupopo will play tomorrow in Algeria against USMA for Confederation Cup, DC Motema Pembe and TP Mazembe are the other Congolese representatives of DR Congo in the CAF Confederation Cup.
