Doma United goes on three week break
Nigeria Premier Football League outfit Doma United have embarked on three weeks break after rounding up their campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League and the Federation Cup.
The break which was approved by the Club Chairman, Suleiman Umar , started yesterday and would expectedly ends on 19th June.
The Chairman while addressing players after their loss against Rangers in the Federation Cup on Sunday, thanked the players for their commitment towards achieving the club’s goal in the just concluded season.
“I will like to say a very big thank you to all of you, for your commitments through the season. Though it was painful losing out the NPFL Super Six playoffs and losing today’s game, I feel proud of you all. Our target at the beginning of the season was to retain our NPFL status and we’ve successfully done that,” Umar said.
“I am proud of you all, by virtue of that, we’re going on a three weeks break which will enable us to rest and spend some quality time with our families. When we say three weeks, we mean three weeks, no late resumption as we will be participating in several preseason programs and preparing well ahead of next league season.”
He also promised to celebrate the season with the players after their resumption.
Doma United finished 5th on the log of group B of the just concluded abridge league and crashed out in the quarterfinals of the Federation Cup against Rangers.
