Josephus Mantor set to join Akwa United
Liberian International defender Josephus Mantor will join Akwa United ahead of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League as soon as the Liberian division one ends, as report indicate that the defender want to gain experience with the Nigerian club before any European football experience, Felele247.com.ng understands
Mantor currently play for Nimba Kwado FC captain, he will join Akwa United after signing a pre-contract agreement with the club last Friday.
Few days ago, there are reports that top clubs in Europe are have shown interest in bringing in the defender to their roaster, but Felele247.com.ng have scooped Akwa United quickly agreed to terms and conditions from the Liberian giants for his signature.
Josephus Mantor is currently on the bill of Liberian outfit Nimba Kwado FC; a mouthwatering fee could be on the table for the defender to move away from his native country club.
He has represented Liberia national team in international competition with 3 appearances; and made 23 appearances in all competitions this season for Nimba Kwado FC with 22 goals and 2 assists.
