Albert Kangwanda settling down at Al Hilal Omurdoman

Zambian international Albert Kangwanda just settling in at Sudanese giants Al Hilal SC as they prepare for their CAF Champions League campaign.

Al Hilal have shifted base and the club’s operations to Tunisia where they are also expected to play their Champions League matches amidst the war in Sudan.

Kangwanda and the entire Hilal contingent will be based in Tunisia until the situation improves and fit for them to return to Omdurman, the club’s original base.

For now Al Hilal under the tutelage of Congolese tactician Florent Ibenge will focus on their upcoming Champions League season as they look to break into the knockout stages after narrowly missing out by goal difference last season having finished third in their group behind eventual winners Al Ahly SC and South African heavyweights Mamelodi Sundowns.

They actually managed to beat Al Ahly and drew with Sundowns in their group.

Al Hilal will face Salaam FC Bor of neighbouring South Sudan in the preliminary round of the Champions League.
