Newly Appointed Commissioner For Youths And Sports Development In Plateau State Assumes Office

Newly appointed Commissioner for Youths and Sports development in Plateau State, Hon. Bashir Lawandi Datti, assures youths on the Plateau of rapid innovations and skill acquisition development in the state.

The commissioner gave the assurance on his assumption of office at the state secretariat on Monday, 7th of August, 2023.

The new commissioner was welcomed by the permanent secretary Mrs Rebecca K. Shalsek who was on ground to welcome him to the ministry,

Mrs Rebecca stated that the ministry is happy and fulfilled to have a young and vibrant commissioner in the person of Honourable Bashir Lawandi Datti.

She assured him of the ministry’s readiness to work together to deliver his ambitions to the youths and people of Plateau State.

While speaking to journalists, the commissioner, Hon. Bashir Lawandi Datti assured youths on the Plateau that the ministry will do everything possible to carry everyone along for the state to achieve greater things in the area of sports and youths development.

The newly appointed commissioner thanked the governor of Plateau State Brr. Caleb Muftwang for looking inward by appointing him as commissioner for Sports and youth development of the state

He also assured athletics representing Plateau State in the upcoming National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State later this year of good outing during the game, adding that everything will be put in place during the events to help them excel.

The commissioner was warmly welcomed by the staff members of the ministry as well as the permanent secretary of the Plateau State Ministry of Youths and Sports development.
