After Disastrous Result Against Yanga SC, Simba SC Sacks Robertinho

Tanzanian giants Simba SC have terminated their head coach Robertinho contract after their embarrassing 5-1 defeat to arch rivals Yanga SC in the Kariakoo Derby over the weekend.

The Brazilian was appointed to lead the Dar club only last January.

The Kariakoo derby is one the biggest in East Africa and arguably the biggest derby in Africa, after the Cairo Derby, Soweto derby, Casablanca derby

Before joining Simba SC Robertinho became manager of Tunisian club Stade Tunisien for the second time in September 2007; he had previously coached Brazilian clubs Americano and Fluminense.

In 2021 Robertinho’s contract with Gor Mahia FC in Kenya was terminated as it was determined that he did not hold the required qualifications to coach at the top level in Africa by CAF.

After time in Uganda with Vipers, in January he became manager of Tanzanian club Simba.
