*Gombe United Struggling to Compete in the NPFL*

Gombe United went straight into the match after travelling 14hrs non stop from Gombe to Ogun State for their Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday 08 against Remo Stars in Ikenne.

Felele247.com.ng gathered that the sum of N10 Million given to the club before the season kick off was paid into the state government account hoping the state Government will increase the club monthly subvention from N12 Million including players, coaches, backroom staff and management to the proposed N20 Million, the governor previously promised while presenting a bus to the team two years ago.

The Savannah Scorpions embarked on the road trip on Saturday due to lack of fund and base on the information I got from my source, the state government is yet to grant the club monthly subvention.

As at to the time of filing this report, Gombe State Government under the leadership of the Executive Governor Dr. Yahaya Inuwa is yet to make the monthly subvention available to the state government who are currently struggling financially

Savannah Scorpions recorded their worst defeat on the road for the first time this season, loosing 4-0 to Remo Stars last Sunday at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.

The team have no choice than to solicit for funds to execute their games this season having been having their 14 Million naira previous subvention slashed to 12 million naira
