Nasarawa Amazons unveils new players

As preparation for the new season, the Women’s team of Nasarawa United, Nasarawa Amazon FC have unveil 19 players ahead of the Nigeria Women Premier League, Felele247.com.ng understands

The club was founded by the government of Nasarawa State in year 2000. The nickname of the club, Solid Babes is gotten from the official slogan of the state.

The club after conducting a closed screening the successful players were unveiled to the media.

The players are:
1,Bakare Shukura Ayomide: From Edo Queens FC Benin.(Goalkeeper)
2,Okoye Chioma : From Adamawa Queens Yola.(Goalkeeper)
3,Unachukwu Udoka From Edo Queens Benin.(Goalkeeper)
4,Saleh Blessing: From Gallant QueensFC, Zaria ( Attacker)
5,Lot Daniella From Gallant Queens FC Zaria.(Attacker)
6,Agams Nkechi: From Abia Angels FC, Umuahia. (Attacker)
7,Akabike Chinwe From Abia Angels FC, Umuahia. (Attacker)
8,Onu Ogochukwu: from Abia Angels FC , Umuahia. (Midfielders)
9,Dike Patience: from Abia Angels FC: Umuahia.(Left full back)
10,Abdulwahab Faridat: from Kwara Ladies FC, Ilorin.(midfielder)
11,Owoseni olubukola: from Dreams Stars FC,Lagos (Attacker)
12,Shobowale Olushola Rukkayat : from FC Robo, Lagos (midfielder)
13,Adesoji Esther: from FC Robo, Lagos. (central Defender)
14,Essien Marylen: from Rivers Angels FC port-Harcourt.(Right full back)
15,Odoh Bibiana Odinaka : from Honey Badgers FC (Attacker)
16,Nnadi Oluchi Chinwendu : from Confluence Queens, Lokoja, (Right full back)
17,Isaiah Ochanya : From Nazareth Queens FA, karu. (Defensive midfielder)
18, Omosuyi Ayowunmi Mama: From Sunshine Queens, Akure. ( Defensive midfielder)
19, Mosaku Olubukola: from Prince Kazeem Eletu FC, Abeoukuta,Ogun state. (Attacker)

They won the Nigeria Women Premier League in 2013 and 2017, and were runners-up in 2006, 2007 and 2016. They’ve also won the Nigerian Women’s Cup twice, with their recent win in 2019

In 2010, Nasarawa Amazons were evicted from their home camping ground in Lafia for failure to pay accumulated rents. In 2012, Amazons played Pelican Stars F.C. to qualify for the super six tournament that determines the overall winner of the league.[10] In 2013, the governor of Nasarawa State, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura donated ₦ 40,000,000 to aid the running of the club and in recognition of the outstanding performance of the team.[11] Amazons were suspended during the 2016 season but were reinstated back to the league after an appeal.
