ALKASIM MOHAMMED SCORES AFTER JUST 38 SECONDS AS MIGHTY JETS INT’L FC RECORD ANOTHER BIG WIN

Mighty Jets Int’l FC 3-0 Ben Akwegbu FC

Mighty Jets Int’l FC have once again dusted their scoring boots ahead of the resumption of the second stanza of the NNL season with yet another big win over Ben Akwegbu FC in a friendly encounter at the Jos New Stadium as second choice goalkeeper Obilo Ike kept a clean sheet.

The coach Najib Mabo’s team got off to a perfect start after just 38 seconds when Alkasim Mohammed finished superbly to put Jets in the driving seat.

However, Ben Akwegbu FC boys threatened to equalise but coach Najib Mabo seemed to have read the game perfectly as he made two changes just before the half time break when he brought in striker Joseph Jatau and winger Isaac Jonathan to replace Samuel Nanjuan and youngster Ukeyima Emmanuel.

Jatau was at the right spot in the 18-yard box to receive a perfect cross from left back Jonathan Davou to double the lead for Mighty Jets Int’l FC in the 63rd minute.

Things got worst for Ben Akwegbu FC’s side when winger Isaac Jonathan capitalised on a defensive error to punish them by slotting the ball into an empty net in the 83rd minute to put the game beyond the Akwegbu’s boys.

As the second stanza of the NNL season is set to kick off in early March, Mighty Jets Int’l FC and their large supporters can be optimistic of a better and improved showing as they continue to push for an NPFL ticket.
