Super Eagles Jose Peaeiro Contract Ends After AFCON

Jose Peseiro’s contract as the coach of Nigeria’s senior national team has ended after the Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite reaching the final of the just concluded African Cup of Nations 2023 in Cote d’ Ivoire where they lost 2-1 to the host country, Peseiro’s future as the Eagles Coach is uncertain.

Felele247.com.ng have gathered that Egyptian side Zamalek SC and possible and the Moroccan FA are set to woo the Portguese coach to join them in the dugout.

He has the option to extend his contract for two more years, but as of now, he is without a contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Discussions regarding his future are expected to take place, with Minister for Youths and Sports, Senator John Enoh, expressing interest in retaining Peseiro as the team prepares for the qualifiers for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, set to begin in March.
