CAF is set to exclude Zambia and Gabon from 2025 AFCON Qualifiers
Reports revealed that Zambia and Gabon national teams face a possible risk of being excluded from participating in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers by CAF.
According to Foot Africa website, the Zambia and Gabon national teams are threatened with being banned from participating in the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025, due to the involvement of the Presidents of the two federations in serious crimes and allegations.
The president of the Gabonese Football Federation has been charged in connection with the investigation into allegations of widespread sexual abuse in the country.
FIFA accused the President of the Zambian Football Association, Andrew Kamanga, of illegally obtaining money, as well as financing trips for two of his colleagues to attend the African Cup of Nations matches in Côte d’Ivoire, and committing money laundering crimes.It is expected that the CAF will announce the sanctions it will impose on the Zambian and Gabonese Federations in the coming days.
