WIkki Tourists FC of Bauchi secured a convincing victory over MFM FC of Lagos by three goals to nil (3-0) in one of the matches played in the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League on Sunday 02/01/2022 in Bauchi.

The Matchweek 4 saw Wikki Tourists opening scores in the seventh minute of the game when Nelson Abiam fired a free-kick shot that caught the MFM goalie off-balanced and went straight into the net.

MFM FC fought back so hard to equalise but Wikki Tourists players became more aggressive, thwarting all attempts by MFM to equalise.

Isa Usman of Wikki Tourists who featured in his first game since joining the club this season from Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri crowned their efforts in the forty-fifth minutes when he slot in the second goal following a goalmouth tussle ending the first half retiring both teams to the dressing room.

On resumption into the second half, both teams became more purposeful and created scoring chances but none came to light until in the sixtieth minutes when Sale Ibrahim compounded the Visitors problem by scoring the third and last goal of the match.

Chief Coach of Wikki Tourists FC Abdullahi Adamu in a post-match interview praised God for the Victory, expressing confidence in the ability of the Players to do better in future games.

This is a big morale booster, we commend the boys for putting a good fight and we urge them to keep the tempo, said Abdullahi.

MFM Coach Isa Balogun in his words said the match was good and he has no complaint.

What I really planned for the match was to pick something here but unfortunately we couldn’t, that’s football for you and we have accepted it as such,he concludes.

Wikki Tourists next match will be away to Heartland fc in Owerri on Sunday 9/1/2022.
