WIKKI TOURISTS WINLESS JINX BROKEN GOT FIRST LEAGUE VICTORY AGAINST RANGERS.

WIkki Tourists FC recorded it first victory in matchday 06 of the  2022/23 Nigeria Premier Football League season played at the atb stadium Bauchi.

Abubakar Aliyu’s 45’+2′ goal was all the Tourists needed to secure the maximum three points.

From a solo dribble that beats defenders and goalkeeper of Rangers Nwabulu to the net the goal sends  the spectators at the atb stadium to rapturous celebration.

Earlier in the game Wikki Tourists who showed  extra commitment missed many scoring chances as Rangers keeper Nwabulu stood firm between his post and Wikki Tourists strikers in the likes of Amah Chibundu,john Taiwo and Captain Mohammed Guda.

There was an appeal for penality in the 40′ when Abubakar Aliyu was brought down in the box  but the referee ruled for simulation and continued with game.

Abubakar Aliyu’s masterclass goal  five minutes later put to rest tension and anxiety on the supporters as the WIkki lads Continue to bombard the visitors with pressure till both teams headed to the dresser at the end of the first 45minutes.

Substitutions were made by Wikki Tourists fc on resumption into the second half with the hope of securing a security goal.

Although efforts were made by the new entrants but it didn’t give the desired result.

Amah Chibundu had a one on one situation with the Rangers keeper in the 71′ but the former Wikki Tourists shot stopper Nwabulu had the better opportunity of the encouter when he denied chubundu’s shot from causing havoc on his side while the game ended at 90’+4′ as the kaura boys went home celebrating.

Post Match Briefing: Abdullahi Adamu Wikki Tourists Chief Coach:

It is a plus to us and we are going to work towards the remaining games to see that before the end of the first stanza we stabilize the team so that if we come back for the second stanza we look for a slot in the super six.

On some new faces introduced in today’s game Abdullahi said: it is the philosophy of the coach that’s brought about the changes.

The WIkki Tourists Chief Coach said that their plan ahead next game will not be different from what it use to be when going for any away match.
