Match Report: Wikki Tourists vs Bayelsa United

WIKKI TOURISTS LOST TO BAYELSA UNITED AT HOME ON MATCH DAY 13 OF THE NPFL.

Goals from Robert Mizo and Stephen Wisdom in the 35 and 48 minutes respectively gave Visiting Bayelsa United the 3points against Wikki Tourists fc on match day 13 of the Nigeria Premier Football League Season 2022/23 in Bauchi on Sunday 9/4/23.

Wikki Tourists Amah Chibundu had earlier put the home team ahead when he scored in the 23rd minutes and just 12minutes later Bayelsa United restore parity.

Just when Wikki players where pushing for additional goal,Bayelsa compounded the problem of the home team by scoring a second goal at the dying minutes of the first half and took the lead to the dressing room.

WIkki Tourists fc made some quick changes on resumption into the second half to solidify the attack but Bayelsa United defence remained a hard nut to crack as all attempts by Wikki Tourists were checked.

Fu’ad Ekelejuoti who came in from the bench got an equaliser for WIkki Tourists in 75minute via a header but was disallowed by the AR1 for off side and there was protest putting the game on hold for minutes and the match later Continue.

Five minutes was added on regulation time but it could not give Wikki Tourists any positive result as the final whistle was blown, 1-2 it ended advantage Bayelsa United.

Wikki Tourists TA Abdullahi Adamu said.

It was a disappointing result looking at the way the boys played, we have tried and cancelled our two goals in the Second half but it was unfortunate the referee did not allow it.

Our next line of action is to continue training ahead our next match against Doma ,we will not relent we have to continue fighting till the end,In Sha Allahu we are still hoping that relegation will not be our portion, Abdullahi prayed.
